Ingredients

  • 500 gms minced meat
  • 3 tbsp gram flour/besan
  • 1 tbsp oil + for frying
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 bunch coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 bunch mint, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 3 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • salt as needed
  • 1/2 tsp jeera/cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat a tbsp of oil and add jeera, and onion. Cook till onion turns golden brown in color.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste,turmeric, green chillies, mint and mix well.
  3. Add minced meat and 2 cups of water and cooked till the meat is done.
  4. Now mix in the red chilli powder, garam masala powder and grind in the food processor till it makes a coarse paste.
  5. Add salt, besan and coriander leaves and mix well with the ground meat paste.
  6. Divide the mixture equally into lemon-sized portions and shape each of them into a circle.
  7. Heat the oil in a pan and shallow fry the patties until they turn a golden brown
  8. Remove and drain the excess oil on kitchen towels. Serve hot with mint chutney.
