You can make chocolate cookies at home easily. Treat your family with these delicious soft and crunchy cookies in the dinner table of iftar.


  • 8 ounces butter
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cups brown sugar
  • eggs, room temp.
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts, toasted


In a bowl, combine and sift flours, baking soda and salt,

Cream the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Add eggs one at a time while mixer is running.

Add vanilla extract and dry ingredients, then mix until smooth. Add the chocolate and nuts.

Refrigerate the dough for 1-12 hours before use.

To bake, spoon 1 heaping tablespoon of dough on a parchment-lined sheet pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.
